Wealth of Wellness is a non-profit organization formed and working to elevate and educate via two primary programs. The mission of Wealth of Wellness includes: assist individuals in the receipt of alternative health care; participate in educational field outings, training and events; support, educate and facilitate the “greening” of the planet; support the public with healthy food distribution; and to create, host and support events to provide education on all of the above mentioned services.
1) Urban Wellness is a holistic wellness center offering a broad spectrum of weekly classes, workshops and individual treatments. by offering the following:
Weekly / monthly schedule including:
Free meditation classes daily.
12 + yoga classes weekly, many of which are free / donations based
Multiple workshops per month on a variety of wellness topics
Educational programs in the Urban Wellness classroom
Individual treatment modalities include:
Nutritional and Diet Counseling in its “teaching kitchen”
Massage including traditional, Cranio Sacral, Thai & Reiki
Red Light Therapy Bed
Sensory Deprivation Floatation Tank
The center offers reduced fees (10-100% off) services based on individual need. Urban Wellness offers special classes and services at no or reduced fee to special needs groups including: veterans, the homeless / in transitional living, Latinos, low income / financially challenged, senior citizens and those suffering from physical, mental, or addictive health disorders.
2) CitiFarms is an indoor farm growing microgreens and herbs for sale at farmers markets as well as area grocers and restaurants. In addition to the commercial aspects of the farm, food stores will all be provided free or at reduced cost to special needs groups including local food banks, schools and “food desert” neighborhoods. The farm also offers education for adults and school children on nutrition and modern, local farming.
Citifarms grows its product in a “clean room” utilizing strict hydroponic methods and proprietary technology growing “microgreen superfood” under LED lights. Citifarms is educating school children at a local Charter School how to grow indoors and is also working with the school to develop a new hydroponic farming class in their curriculum.
Wealth of Wellness is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of Internal Revenue Code. It is classified as a public charity and contributions are deductable under section 170 of the code. Federal Tax Payer ID Number: 01-0851317
